<b>Abraham Tesser</b> was research Professor of Psychology at the University of Georgia while editing this volume. He has edited several books and published a number of articles on communication, attitudes, thought processes, and self-evaluation maintenance. He is currently Visiting Professor of Psychology at The Ohio State University. <p><b>Norbert Schwarz</b> is Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan and Senior Research Scientist at Michigan's Institute for Social Research. He has published numerous articles, chapters, and books on human judgement, including <i>Cognition and Communication: Judgmental Biases, Research Methods and the Logic of Conversation</i> (1995).</p>
