<p>László Erdős was born in 1982. He became passionate about the natural world at the age of seven, thanks to a wildlife book he received from his mother. He graduated as a biologist and earned a PhD in vegetation ecology. His research expertise includes conservation implications of spatial heterogeneity in natural and near-natural ecosystems. He is also interested in environmental ethics and the history of the green movement. He is an animal lover, a vegetarian, and an ardent supporter of animal rights. Currently he is a research fellow at the Institute of Ecology and Botany of the MTA Centre for Ecological Research (Vácrátót), a research fellow at the MTA-DE Lendület Functional and Restoration Ecology Research Group (Debrecen), and a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest). He often gives popular presentations on conservation issues.</p>

<p>László lives in rural Hungary with his wife Dolly and a rescued cat named Marci. </p><p></p>
